Google is one of the top companies in the entire world and it continues to evolve by releasing new flavors of its products available in numerous languages. Vlad Patryshev, software engineer at Google, sustains that Google is currently available in more than 170 languages "from Abhazian to Zulu". Obviously, Google doesn't currently have employees from all these countries that would be able to translate the products because it would be extremely difficult to find experienced engineers. But Google is also a name that attracts people and this popularity is very useful especially in these matters. If you didn't know, Google has a special technology that allows you to get involved into the translation of the products, no matter if it's in your native language or not.

The page is available on this link and requires you to send your details as well as information about the products you are going to translate. "Anybody can sign up as a volunteer translator by visiting the Language Tools page and then clicking on the Google in Your Language link. After verification, you'll be offered a list of products to translate, including the main search site, Gmail, iGoogle, Google Maps, and many others," the Google employee wrote.

Several languages are currently in the final stages and are preparing to become available for the Internet users: Armenian, Estonian and Slovenian are 95 percent completed while "Latin has 70% of its translations done". "Abhazian has been available for several years, but so far we don't have enough translations completed to release it into production. Tibetan, Inupak, Inuktikut, Wolof, Zhuang all have less than 10% of their content translated. Interestingly, each of those has more speakers than Faroese, which has 74% of texts translated," Vlad Patryshev added.

In the recent period, Google made numerous additions to the compatible languages list, making Filipino, African and some Russian languages available for multiple Google products.
