'Supernanny' Jo Frost Quits over Money, Is Fuming

Jo Frost says she's upset for being replaced on “Supernanny”

A year or so ago, confirmation came that Jo Frost was done with the immensely successful “Supernanny” franchise, which had won over audiences on both sides of the pond. Today, she reveals the real reason she's out of the picture.

Just as Lifetime is getting ready to launch a new television series called “America's Supernanny” (without Frost, of course), the original nanny is speaking out: it was all about money.

She doesn't want to get into the nasty details of what went wrong to end such a profitable partnership, but she does state it out loud that she's fuming mad at basically having been shoved to the side, the Daily Mail informs.

The British tab got a hold of Frost, who claims what's being said in the press, about her quitting the show because she wanted to get married and have children, is complete bogus.

She wanted a raise and she was denied one. Then, she was told she was dispensable, so she was left with no other choice but to pack her stuff and leave.

The worst part is that Deborah Tillman, described as Michelle Obama lookalike, who will be featured on the new US show, is totally not qualified for the job.

“I decided to leave after season seven, earlier this year. But then they [Shed Media] made up this story that I was running off to get married and have children. I am not at all happy,” Frost tells the Mail.

“I feel like I worked really hard to get where I am. I am Supernanny. That's me. I only know that Deborah Tillman is an accountant and a businesswoman. She has never been a nanny,” the former television star adds.

She's upset about the decision to have Tillman fill her shoes, but she's also upset that her fans at home were lied to when they were told she was out of the venture because she wanted to start a family of her own.

“I don't really want to get into a public slanging match. Let's just say that my leaving 'Supernanny' was not exactly the Disneyfication of the story that it was made out to be,” she says.

Tillman will bring a new perspective to parenting on “America's Supernanny” once the shows premieres, enforcing positive parenting.

In the meanwhile, Frost continues her career on television with a variety of projects.

I LOVE Supernanny and JO is RIGHT! I WON'T be watching ... hope she does her own show, something like a talk show! She has such a great head on her shoulders ...

Seriously Jo! Get over it you big sook! You have been replaced by Deborah Tillman, who is doing the best she can. I think you need time on the Naughty Step Jo!

Bring Jo back. I am watching a rerun of her right now. She is needed! Standl in did fine, but there is only one Jo. Don't be foolish and pridefu,l producers. Give her what she wants. She is 100 percent responsible for making the show a favorite of mine.

How would you know this Jo? Deborah has opened up a preschool after SEVEN horrific experiences in the childcare system. She quit her job to open that preschool and look after her young son. Suck it up princess because Deborah is America's Supernanny!

I watched the show because of Jo Frost - no longer interested. Typical of the employer to spin rubbish to cover their greed.

I am a Jo Frost fan, and would love to meet her. I do not have kids of my own but I loved her show. I will not watch the new "America Supernanny" I will watch repeats of Jo.

I miss Jo Frost. I tuned in once to the replacement, Deborah Tillman. She's terrible!! very phony. I never made it through the whole program.
