Adriana Lima, often described as the most ridiculously gorgeous model currently working in the industry, is pregnant with her first child, her publicist confirms for People magazine. Lima and her new husband, NBA star Marko Jaric, are said to be completely over the moon with the baby coming and with the idea of expanding their newly formed family so soon.

Lima and Jaric eloped on Valentine’s Day this year and got married in what was one of the industry’s most private and smallest ceremonies in Wyoming. Even at the time, speculation had it that the model might be pregnant, which would have explained, according to some, the hush-hush nuptials – in the context in which Lima publicly stated a couple of times that she was planning to practice abstinence until her wedding day because that was how she had been raised.

Amidst speculation that Adriana is three months along, her rep says she couldn’t be happier about becoming a mother, whereas Jaric is equally thrilled at the prospect. “Adriana and Marko are overjoyed that they are expecting their first child together and are excited to share the happy news and start their family together.” the publicist tells in a statement for People magazine.

As fans must already know by now, the kind of media attention Lima gets on a usual basis will most probably double once her baby bump becomes visible, US glossy magazines are pointing out. Alessandra Ambrosio, another gorgeous Angel for Victoria’s Secret, went through the same experience a couple of months back, but she somehow managed to avoid the spotlight for the better part of her pregnancy. Moreover, when she bounced back into the limelight, it was shortly after giving birth, and she was rocking a body so fit that many speculated foul play (also known as the wonderful hand of the plastic surgeon).
