Henry Cavill and everyone working on the upcoming “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” film must know that fans at home want to see more of Superman’s suit in this new take on the beloved character under Zack Snyder’s direction. So they deliver.

The handsome Brit and co-star Amy Adams, who plays love interest Lois Lane in the franchise, sat down for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, after being nominated several times by friends and former associates. The best part of this, besides the fact that they did their part for charity, is the fact that they did it on set.

This means that, for over 1 minute, fans get a better look at Superman’s costume, which still seems a bit different from the version he wore in last year’s “Man of Steel.” However, that could be because of the way it was shot for the film and post-production work.

The ALS Challenge raises awareness and money for the ALS Association, in the hope of finding a cure for the disease. Once you’re nominated, you have 24 hours to either pour a bucket of ice water on your head or donate money to the organization.

Countless celebrities have been doing the Challenge, but many of them also donated money. A select few, like Sir Patrick Stewart, only donated the money and used the ice for something else, which is, according to many, an example more people should follow.

We don’t know if Cavill and / or Adams donated any money, but it’s fun to see him getting doused with several buckets of ice water. If there’s one man who can take it, that’s got to be Superman! Plus, we get to see the suit closer and in much better quality than in the on-set paparazzi photos that leaked online just recently.

“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Ben Affleck as Batman, but don’t expect him to do the Challenge in his Batsuit. That’s one secret that Snyder and Warner Bros. are trying to keep well under wraps until the last moment, because Affleck is filling the shoes of Christian Bale, who previously played Batman in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy.

Affleck did do the Challenge, at his home, with help from wife Jennifer Garner. He nominated her right before getting soaking wet, and grabbed her by the waist and jumped with her in the pool, in what was deemed the “sweetest” celebrity Ice Bucket Challenge moment.

Until we get to see Superman save the world again – but not before he answers for the destruction he caused in “Man of Steel,” allegedly – here’s the next best thing: Cavill in character, doing a good deed.
