Supercow Jumps on Mac

- Hopefully not leaving a huge dent on your sleek 20-incher

By: Filip Truta, Apple News Editor

Macgamestore says that NevoSoft's Supercow game is now available for the Mac too. The Russian-based video game developer describes its side-scrolling action title as suitable for all ages, which means that the whole family can jump in on the journey to save the farm animals and stop Professor Duriarti from destroying dear Earth. A free trial
version of Supercow is also available.

The game's plot says that Professor Duriarti, a famous criminal, has seized the farm and captured the animals. Not only that, but he also cloned them and now has them working for him in an attempt to fulfill a diabolical plan - Earth's destruction. Bet you never saw that one coming, huh? However, Supercow's "network of informants" have informed the paranormal bovine of the situation, prompting the four-legged, milk-giving, farmers' favorite domestic animal to dash off and save her consorts. "Because after all, who knows how to save the farm better than Supercow?" NevoSoft says. What, is there some kind of ancient document that asserts this...?

Anyway, main features of Supercow (the game) for Mac include professional cartoon actors speaking for the characters, mouse or keyboard control scheme, and quite a number of levels and challenges to beat. System Requirements call for Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

Supercow is a digital download, which means that purchases will not be shipped out to you. In other words, a software product is not physically shipped out to you upon purchase. Instead, you "Download" the entire game from the Internet. After downloading it, you install the game as usual and run it from your Hard Drive. Digital Download purchases are non-refundable.

The free trial version of the game runs for no more and no less than 60 minutes. Think you can wrap up the whole game in that amount of time? If you can, be sure to record your achievement and send in the proof. It'll probably make history.
