Come in from the Storm. Enter the depths of Below. Explore. Survive. Discover. Coming to Steam & Xbox One. Words that might not mean much except for the fact that ermahgerd, it's Capybara Games, the guys who made Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery.

The latest trailer for Below, the upcoming roguelike from Capy Games, confirms that the game will also be released on Steam once it's ready. The studio stated in August last year that Below would be an Xbox One timed exclusive, and that after a certain period, it would also bring the game to other platforms.

The thing is, Microsoft's self-publishing parity clause requires independent developers to launch games on the Xbox One at the same day as on other platforms.

The new trailer shows some of Below's environments, but not much else, and is set to the atmospheric music composed by songwriter Jim Guthrie, who also wrote the music for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery.

The video has a very strong vibe, reminiscent of other great minimalistic games such as Dungeons of the Endless or Hyper Light Drifter, albeit presenting a less colorful world with a more foreboding mood, and it ends with a character coming up to a wall painting with the Steam logo, in what must be one of the most classy reveals of the year.

If you want to see more of Below, you can check out the previous trailer, showing the game’s tiny character chilling and admiring the overhead clouds and the sea. The clip also features the music of Jim Guthrie, a tune titled "You, Me and the Sun Swallowing Sea."

"At Capy, our goal has always been simple: Create unique, beautiful video games that we love... and bring them wherever there is an audience (and ideally, a great controller) to play them. This is our goal with Below. This is our goal with Super TIME Force. This will be our goal with whatever crazy idea we do next," the studio stated when announcing Below.

The small indie studio has a certain way of infusing its pixelated games with a lot of heart, and they're also currently working on the juicy Super Time Force, coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and the Xbox one sometime during Q2 2014, which they describe as "what would happen if Braid and Contra had a party."

Below will be available for playing purposes for the first time at PAX East 2014, taking place in Boston this weekend. The studio will be partnering up with Double Fine and you can find their booth near the Indie Megabooth. Also, an almost finished version of Super Time Force will also be available at the Microsoft booth, for those of you who want to blow up robots instead.
