The developers behind the Superb Mini Server (SMS) Linux server operating system proudly announced earlier today, September 18th, the immediate availability for download of the Superb Mini Server 2.0.0 release.

Based on Slackware 14, Superb Mini Server 2.0.0 is now powered by Linux kernel 3.2.29 and features important upgrades, such as Apache 2.2.23, PHP 5.3.17, OpenSSL 1.0.1c, CUPS 1.6.1, BIND 9.9.1-P3, DHCP 4.2.4-P2, e2fsprogs 1.42.5, Fetchmail 6.3.22, FreeType2 2.4.10, GCC 4.7.0, ImageMagick 6.7.7-10, iproute2 3.4.0, iptables 1.4.15, kmod 10, Nmap 6.01, Portable OpenSSH 6.1p1, Perl 5.16.1, Python 2.7.3, SIP 4.13.3, syslinux 4.05, udev 182, Webmin 1.590, and much more.

"This release was planned for August 10th were the project had its 5 years anniversary, but personal difficulties, along with hardware problems, kept me back a whole month," the Greek developer said in the official announcement.
