SuperX 2.1, an operating system that is highly modular, flexible, and with the user interface specially designed with the enterprise desktop in mind, is now available for download.

SuperX 2.1 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and is called “Ada,” named after Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer.

“As an effort of enhancing user experiencing in Ada we’ve decided to remove certain software from the default selection that doesn’t play well with SuperX (or at least as we want them to be) or if they have a very specialized audience which complements SuperX’s goal of being a general purpose/daily driver OS,” reads the official announcement.

The developers replaced Firefox with Chromium, the Blender app has been removed, KDE has been updated to version 4.10.5, and a 32-bit version is now also available.

A complete list of changes and new features can be found in the official announcement. Download SuperX 2.1 right now from Softpedia.
