Computer enthusiasts looking for high performance DDR3 memory for their quad-channel enabled LGA 2011 systems now have a new option to take into consideration as Super Talent has just announced a new series of Quadra DDR3 memory clocked at 2133MHz.

Clients interested in purchasing Super Talent’s new memory will have the option of choosing between standalone 4GB modules and a quad-channel 16GB kit.

No matter the option one chooses, the memory works at the same 2133MHz operating speed, but no information regarding the timings used is available at this point in time.

The voltage required by the Supper Talent Quadra DDR3 memory is also unknown, but we suspect this won’t go all that much above 1.65V.

As far as cooling is concerned, the memory maker decided to use some oversized heatspreaders that remind us of Kingston’s Dominator series a lot.

“The Quadra series was designed to give PC enthusiasts the ultimate computing experience,” said one Super Talent official.

“These new 2133MHz module enable our customers to take full advantage of the new 6-Core processor based motherboards by running at speeds up to 2133MHz.

“With these new 2133MHz Quadra Series modules support, the new Sandy Bridge E based motherboards can now support a full 16GB of DDR3 DRAM at over-clocked speeds of 2133MHz,” concluded the company’s rep.

No details regarding pricing or availability were provided by Super Talent, so right now it’s hard to tell when this Quadra-series memory will make its way into the retail space.

Currently, the cheapest DDR3-2133MHz 16GB quad-channel memory kit available from Newegg is built by GSkill and retails for $139.99 (about 105 EUR), while the most expansive kit of this sort is a Corsair Dominator GT with CL 9-11-10-27 timings priced at $289.99 (218 EUR).
