Super Talent Technology, a leading provider of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, unveiled today a new series of UltraDrive solid state drives (SSDs). According to the company, the new line of SSDs is able to provide twice the speed delivered by the world's fastest SATA hard drives. Super Talent Technology has also announced that the drives are offered in capacities of up to 256GB.

The company has designed the UltraDrive LE SSDs specifically for enterprise servers and data centers as they are able to provide the exceptional performance, reliability and endurance required for such applications. The new UltraDrive LE deliver very high transaction speeds (IOPS), while supporting sequential read and write speeds of 230MB and 170 MB per second respectively.

The fresh Super Talent drives are able to outperform 10,000 RPM hard drives, while consuming far less power and generating a much lower amount of heat than HDDs. The UltraDrive LE solid state drives have been developed on SLC NAND Flash technology and come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities.

“The UltraDrive LE represents a quantum leap forward in storage performance that is simply staggering. It excels in every metric that's relevant to data centers: sequential and random read and write speeds, transaction rates and access and seek times. It also has a considerable advantage over 10,000 RPM hard drives in power consumption and MTBF. This product sets a new standard in enterprise storage,” said Super Talent Chief Operating Officer, Mr. C.H. Lee.

The company's UltraDrive ME SSDs come as the speediest available 2.5-inch internal storage solution for SATA-II notebooks. The drives are able to provide sequential read/write speeds up to 200/160 MB per second, thus being able to out pace even the fastest desktop hard drives available today. Mobile professionals and gamers alike will benefit from enhanced speeds and performance levels if they choose to upgrade their machines with such a drive. The UltraDrive ME SSDs are the company's third generation MLC NAND based drives, offering unprecedented levels of reliability.
