If you happen to be among those who take a keen interest in how computer technology is evolving, then you know that most of the recent discussions on storage solutions have been about Solid State Drives. This is only natural, as this solution is believed to become the next standard in computer storage, even if a couple of recent articles in the media have claimed that current SSDs are not all that they were advertised for. On that note, Super Talent has upgraded and updated its SSDs, which are now capable of offering improved performance levels.

The company announced yesterday that it had succeeded in "dramatically" improving the write speeds of its MasterDrive DX, KX and MX solid state drives. This series of drives was already supporting fast read speeds of up to 120MB/sec, but with the new upgrade the write speeds have been brought closer to the level of the read speeds. So, users who will acquire one of the above-mentioned solid stated drives will also get a write speed as fast as 100MB/s.

The company's SSDs are ideal for video editing and encoding, image processing, compressing and extracting files, installing applications and copying large files, or any similar applications. Even more, according to Super Talent, the new, faster drives provide much better power requirements, compared with the platter-based hard drives. So, they can actually be considered a step forward in the development of the SSD market.

"Our expert engineering team is constantly discovering new ways to improve our products, and this is one improvement that will be well received by power laptop users," commented Super Talent Director of Marketing, Joe James. "We continue our relentless drive to add performance, features and value to our SSDs while driving the price down," Mr. James added. MasterDrive SSDs are available now from NewEgg and Newbiiz for prices that start from approximately $190.

With this announcement, Super Talent demonstrates once more its dedication to developing better, faster and more energy efficient SSDs.
