It is unclear whether Nintendo is changing its policy

The development team working on the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is delivering a new update for the video game, which is a required download for all those who are aiming to play the game online and introduces some changes to the core gameplay.

The move is significant because Nintendo has long sustained that its video games are well balanced on launch, with patches only required to fix bugs which are breaking progress.

The new update for Super Smash Bros. will eliminate the Conquest chart display when the equivalent mode is active.

At the same time, Nintendo states, “Adjustments have also been made to balance the game and make for a more pleasant gaming experience.”

The new patch also includes all the changes that were part of version 1.0.2 for Super Smash Bros.

Most fans will probably find it frustrating that Nintendo is not listing all the tweaks that are made to the balance side of the fighting game.

Presumably, fans can continue to put pressure on the company in order to get it to deliver patch notes in the future presenting more details about the changes that it is making to its titles.

Super Smash Bros. has a future on the Wii U

The 3DS version of the video game has been available in the United States and in Europe since the start of October and the title has managed to reach overall sales of 2.8 million copies.

The Wii U version is expected to be offered on November 21 in the United States and on December 5 in Europe.

It’s unclear whether Nintendo has plans to deliver a constant stream of patches for the experience or if only major issues will be fixed.

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. is very important for the company because it is seen as the best way to improve the sales prospects of the home console, which has been underperforming since it was first introduced.

The company has introduced a wide range of new experiences in the title, including a Board Game mode and the ability for players to create their own customized characters based on their Mii avatars.

At the same time, Super Smash Bros. will be the first Wii U game to fully implement the Amiibo figurines, which can be used by gamers to store experience and to provide an opponent even when they are not present.
