The development team at Nintendo working on the upcoming Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. is allowing fans of the game to take a look at the interface which will allow them to control the new Amiibo-related content and features in the title.

The image is posted on the official Miiverse of the game director, and Sakurai states, “Simply touch them on this part of the GamePad. This particular screen is dedicated to activating amiibo, but you can also tap your amiibo on the GamePad at the character-selection screen to let that character join the battle.”

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U was recently confirmed as coming on November 21 in North America, with the title also being offered in Europe on December 5.

This is the first Nintendo-made video game which will integrate the Amiibo figurines, allowing gamers to gain experience for the toys as they play and to evolve as more time is spent with them.

Nintendo says that it has long-term plans for the new concept and that it wants it to be more engaging and successful than either Skylanders from Activision or Disney Infinity.

Super Smash Bros. is one of the games which can boost sales of the Wii U in the run up to Christmas, and the native Amiibo support might create a long-term revenue stream for the company.
