It is the sort of thing you'll find in HTPCs and other mini systems

I've seen my share of thin and/or short coolers, but they usually follow the same fan-over-heatsink design. SilverStone really outdid itself with the new NT07-115X, which doesn't do the same.

Instead, the fan is inside the heatsink. The outer edges of the fins are taller than the rest, and they basically nestle the fan within their bounds.

It's for this reason that the newcomer measures just 90 (W) x 23 (H) x 90 (D) mm / 3.54 x 0.90 x 3.54 inches.

For those who want more details, the fan has a diameter of 80 mm and a rotary speed of 1,200 to 3,400 RPM (rotations per minute).

The maximum sound output is pretty low too, at 26 dBA, less than a whisper.

All in all, the SilverStone Nitrogon NT07-115X should serve well Intel LGA 1156/1155/1150 processors, all for the price of £14.83 / $24 / €17.45.
