Video game publisher SEGA has released a new trailer for Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz, one of its upcoming PlayStation Vita titles, alongside the image that will serve as the cover.

The game is a platformer which uses a number of time travel mechanics in order to allow the player close control over his chosen character as he navigates tricky levels.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz includes more than 100 carefully designed stages, each of them using one of five environments: Metal, Wood, Cardboard, Clay and Jungle.

The game will use all the control options of the PlayStation Vita, from analog controls to touch screen, in order to offer the good control over the characters.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz will also include multiplayer modes for up to four players via the Wi-Fi connection and the GPS locator included in the PlayStation Vita will allow any gamer to see which others around him have a better score and challenge them to a match.

The launch date is currently linked to the summer of this year.
