One for you and every last one of your friends, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz takes the classic, fan-favourite Monkey Ball gameplay and adds a whole new world of fun.

There are 50 mini-games in total in Banana Blitz. There is also a "party" mode whereby players can choose tournament-type gameplay, selecting mini-games in an attempt to accumulate the most points. Recurring mini-games from previous titles include Monkey Target, Monkey Race, Monkey Bowling and Monkey Wars. Unlike previous games, in some cases, it is even possible to "fail" at some mini-games, as was the case in the party game, Sonic Shuffle.

Banana Blitz has thus far received generally positive reviews, with EGM awarding the game a 6.2, stating that the new Wii Remote-based control scheme made the game excessively difficult but enjoyed the large number of games even if a few were not fun, whereas IGN said the controls simply had a relatively steep learning curve and once the player is used to them, are superior to control using an analog stick.

Unlockables

Staff Credits mini-game
Successfully complete World 1 to unlock an option for the Staff Credits mini-game at the Options menu.

World 9
Complete each of the default eight worlds without using any continues to earn a crown in all of them to unlock a ninth world called "Sinking Swamp".

World 10
Complete World 9 without using any continues.

Super characters
Successfully complete World 1 through World 9 with only one particular monkey (either AiAi, Baby, Doctor, GonGon, MiMi, or YanYan) to unlock the "Super" version of that character. The "Super" version of that monkey can accelerate slightly faster.

Play as Baby Robo
Complete each mini-game one time. Then, play any mini-game to force the game to save your stats. Then, highlight Baby at the character selection screen of the main game and press 1 to play as Baby Robo from the mini-games.
