Super Mario Galaxy Delayed? Nope, Just a Minor Mistake from Nintendo

- Don't worry, it's still a November release

By: Alexandru Stanescu, Editor, Gaming Reviews (Consoles)

No, it's not that so-called subliminal message hidden in Super Mario Galaxy, informing you that you're a "gay gamer", but rather a minor issue related to the release of the game's European version. The official Nintendo
Europe site recently announced that Super Mario Galaxy will be released on Christmas Eve, by mistake... The result? Thousands of Mario fans showed their frustration of not being able to play the title sooner, considering that the real release date is November 16.

How can some people type an important information like the launch date and get it wrong? It's basically a series of numbers and letters and it doesn't even make up a sentence… So, it seems that there will be no delay and all Super Mario fans should chill, as they're one month and a half away from playing the long-awaited hit title. I'm sure that you can't wait to play this game, specially since it features the Super Mushroom, Starman and Fire Flower power-ups, promising to deliver a super Mario experience.

Just don't let that famous blond crying Wii girl play it since she'll probably get frustrated again and become a YouTube star for the second time. Mario is a franchise that will never end and this is shown by the fact that the fans instantly became infuriated finding out about a possible delay. It's nice to see that the gamers' feedback is finally taken into consideration by the big names of the gaming industry. This also happened in the case of BioShock's widescreen bug, where gaming forums played a vital part, as everyone asked for a patch for this problem. Now, Mario fans showed their frustration and the issue was immediately cleared.

Microsoft recently admitted Halo 3's Limited Edition problems, when the fans started complaining about it... Has the gaming companies' PR changed so much that we're finally being treated the right way?
