Super Mario 64 DS is an exclusive game made for the Nintendo DS handheld platform, by Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development studio and published by the company itself for the portable console, on November 21, 2004, in North America, December 2, that same year, in Japan, on February 24, 2005, in Australia, and on March 11, 2005, in Europe, as a new and improved version of its classic Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64.
The original game went on to gain critical and sales success, so this remastered title doesn't try to add too many new things, as the developer concentrated on improving the graphics, in order to take advantage of the more powerful DS hardware, and added new characters, like Yoshi or Wario, who have new areas to explore.
