Super X from Card Media

Portable storage solutions are becoming increasingly important as the number of mobile devices we use on a daily basis is increasing. And one of the most interesting such devices I've come across lately is the Super X from Card Media, a portable hard disk containing the latest innovations in connectivity.

Thus, the Super X, whose storage capacities varies between 20 and 80 GB, depending on the model, has been endowed with USB OTG (on the go) technology, allowing to connect directly any device such as a Digital Camera, USB pen drive, on its OTG USB port to copy direct to the Super X internal HD or to another USB Storage device. Moreover, the device can also be used as an USB Bridge, allowing to backup from one USB Storage unit (i.e. digital camera) to another USB storage device (i.e. USB pen drive or memory card via a card reader). Last but not least, the device can also be connected directly to a computer and used as an external hard-disk.

As mentioned at the beginning, the Super X is also very portable, with dimensions of 11.8 x 7.2 x 1.0 cm, weighing just 200 grams and having an aluminum casing for shock prevention and heat dissipation. The device uses 4 AA batteries, which grant it an independent functioning time of one and a half hours, but can also be powered directly through its AC Adapter.

The Super X is compatible with a very large range of digital cameras and other USB storage devices, among which the most important are those from Panasonic, Nikon, Konica and Sony. Moreover, it's compatible with both PCs and Macs, and works on almost all of the operating systems on the market - Windows, Mac OS or Linux.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
