The development team at Insomniac Games and publisher Microsoft are ramping up the promotional efforts for Sunset Overdrive ahead of its launch, and the team is willing to allow gamers to take a look at about one hour of gameplay, which introduces plenty of core features and some over-the-top action moments.

The footage comes from a Twitch stream and features members of the development team talking about the gameplay of the shooter and about the kind of experience they are planning to deliver when the title is out.

Sunset Overdrive is a third-person game that focuses on fast movement and on very powerful weapons, with gamers asked to plan ahead and use the environment in order to stay ahead of enemies in a colorful apocalyptic environment.

The shooter will introduce both cooperative moments, when teams need to work together to stop enemy hordes, and a series of competitive options.

Insomniac Games says that it has created a title that mixes very colorful visuals with fast action and over-the-top weaponry.

Sunset Overdrive will be offered only on the Xbox One home console on October 28 and Microsoft has introduced a special bundle which includes a white version of the home console for those who want to place a pre-order.
