14 DAY TRIAL // As reported only a few days ago, the Obamas have a new pet: an adorable one-year-old Portuguese water dog named Sunny.
By the looks of it, Sunny was purchased from a breeder in Attica, Michigan, and cost the Obama family around $2,300 (€1,723), Ecorazzi tells us.
An investigation carried out by MailOnline had revealed that Sunny was probably born to mother Slipper and father Henry. Oddly enough, the latter passed away about three years ago.
Thus, Amy Lane, the woman running the breed center, reportedly used frozen genetic material to get Slipper pregnant.
According to the same source, Sunny's name used to be Pink.
When confronted by journalists, Amy Lane refused to either confirm or deny that the Obamas had gotten their latest pet from her.
“The only comment is I have no comment,” she said.
