Triplets in Michigan are breaking records for managing to all be jailed, possibly all three in the same correctional facility.

The Shivers are in jail for several crimes, the Examiner writes. Brother Devon has been locked up since 2011, and could be there for a long time. According to local police reports, his sentence extends to 2042.

He is joined by brothers Juronn and Deshawn, all 21 years old. The pair have just been found guilty on unarmed robbery charges, in Michigan. Devon Shivers was convicted on a home invasion and on multiple weapons charges.

Police in Saginaw, Michigan have become very well acquainted with the Shivers family, where violence seems to be the norm.

Saginaw Police Sgt. Terry Carpenter describes that the triplets are involved with the “Sunny Side” Gang, an inheritance passed on them by their older brother. “Sunny Side” controls the southeast region of the city, he adds.

“They have been members of the ‘Sunny Side’ gang for years, and that includes siblings and family members,” Carpenter explains.

ABC News writes that their older brother, Sanford Shivers, also went to jail this year, in August. The 30-year-old Sanford was convicted for assault with intent to do great bodily harm, and weapon-related charges. As he resisted arrest, officers also put forward a charge for obstructing and resisting police.

The Saginaw Police Department is asking the judge on the case not to go easy on the Shivers.

“The Saginaw P.D. is elated by the recent convictions of Deshawn and Juronn Shivers and hope that they receive a stern sentence by the sentencing circuit court judge.

“Additionally, we thank the Buena Vista Police Department in their hard work producing the evidence needed to ensure a conviction in their most recent crime,” they write in a statement.
