14 DAY TRIAL // A dog from Istanbul is soon to become the face for recent protests in Turkey. The dog, a photo of which has been posted above, is a cool, easy rider, wearing dark sunglasses with white rims while accompanying its owner on the bike.
According to BuzzFeed, photos of the dog have emerged amid the protests on Sunday, June 2. The pooch is riding around town, and several residents have caught it on camera donning its now signature eyeglasses look.
Several shots of the dog and its owner in Takism Square have been snapped, and in some of them the human is using the dog as a pillow.
These photos have started a meme, with the animal getting the monicker “Sunglasses Motorcycle Dog” or SMD. Others refer to it as “The Hipster Dog” or “The Riot Dog of Istanbul.”
