Coming to assuage the needs of those gamers and enthusiasts that want direct control over the cooling power and noise that their systems produce, Sunbeamtech has developed a new set of fan controllers.

Since there are multiple types of fans and many ways to cater to them all, the company figured it would release one fan controller for each type one may prefer.

This led to the Rheosmart line of controllers being composed of not one or two, but three models, each of a different sort.

One is designed to be plugged in a PCI slot, one is meant to be set within a 3.5-inch drive bay and the third is a 5.25-inch device.

All of them can operate in two modes, one that relies on the PWM and the other one on manual input.

The PWM mode lets the motherboard decide how fast the spinners should rotate, while the manual mode allows the end-user to decide that him or herself.

The second option comes in handy in such cases as where end-users want their cooling systems to make less noise or work at their fullest 'just in case'.

The Rheosmart PCI, as its name makes it clear, occupies one PCI slot. It comes with a single channel that deliver 20W of power.

The second model, the Rheosmart 6, fits inside a large, 5.25-inch bay, the same ones usually employed by optical disk drives, and can control up to 6 fans, being capable of supplying up to 30W.

Finally, the Rheosmart 3 is the one that goes in a 3.5-inch bay and has only three channels, though the power output is the same 30W as the Rheosmart 6.

Unfortunately, there is no mention, so far, of any pricing details, though it should not take long for the product to show up online, at which point this final bit of information will finally surface.
