The sales will continue until early September and bring many discounts

Sony has just unleashed a special Summer Sale on its PlayStation Store for customers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and other parts of the world, slashing prices on over 50 titles starting today, August 1, and ending next month, on September 5.

This summer has brought forth a wide array of discounts for games sold by all sorts of digital distribution services, from Steam to Amazon, Origin, and many more.

Sony is continuing its various summer offers with a special sale on the PlayStation Store in Europe, Australia, or New Zealand.

"This year, PlayStation Store brings you some outstanding offers on over 50 titles. Starting on the 1st August, the PlayStation Store Summer Sale (or Winter Sale for all our readers shivering away over in Australia and New Zealand) runs all the way to 5th September 2012," Sony said about the sale.

"With full Blu-ray games, PlayStation Network titles, PS3 add-ons, PS one Classics, PSP games, minis and movies included, there’s bound to be something here to tickle your fancy," the company added.

Regular PlayStation Network users can enjoy quite a lot of discounts, while PlayStation Plus subscribers can get even bigger price cuts on games like L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, or Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition.

What’s more, seven big deals will be offered every four days, each with their own distinct advantages.

"As well as having loads of awesome content on offer throughout August, we will also be offering seven Summer savings. These deals will each be on offer for four days only, with a new deal replacing it. The dates to remember:

The first deal consists of FIFA 12, which now costs just €29.99/£19.99, while PlayStation Plus members who get it will receive the UEFA Euro 12 DLC for no extra charge.
