HeroCraft, the Russia-based mobile game developer, has recently released a new game for our handsets: Summer Games 2008. Although it's not an official Olympic title, Summer Games 2008 is in line with all the other new games announced on the occasion of this year's Beijing Summer Olympic Games that will debut on August 8.
Summer Games 2008 will allow you to play as the member of any national team you want. If you're skilled enough, you can win lots of medals in any of the five sports included in the game: Weightlifting, Hurdles, Rowing, Javelin and Long Jump. The game features "bright vivid graphics" and offers three playing modes: Free Practice (to get used to the sports and improve your skills), Quick Game and Tournament (where you will have to work hard to get as many medals as possible). Furthermore, there are "no boring rules" and no complicated in-game controls, so it looks like you will have a pretty cool mobile experience in this latest mobile product from HeroCraft.
Besides English (the default language), the game supports other six languages (Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Polish and Turkish), hence it's targeted for a "global audience".
Summer Games 2008 is compatible with many handsets from the following manufactures: Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, RIM (BlackBerry), BenQ-Siemens, Panasonic and Fly Mobile.
Being a sports-centered game, the new title from HeroCraft will probably attract mainly users who are into sports in real life too. Or maybe it will only appeal to those who are too lazy for real sports activities? Either way, the game can be purchased for $5.49 (3.45 Euros) from HeroCraft's official website, found at this address.
