Website security solutions provider Sucuri has announced the acquisition of Unmask Parasites, the well-known cyber security service that helps webmasters identify malicious content on their sites. Denis Sinegubko, founder of Unmask Parasites, will become a member of Sucuri’s research team.

By acquiring Unmask Parasites, Sucuri is expanding its ability to identify malware on websites.

“This acquisition fits into our vision and commitment to offer the best website security services and products available today and in the future. We're also very excited to have Denis joining our research efforts. Denis is a very experienced malware researcher and will be a great addition to our growing team,” said Sucuri Co-Founder Dre Armeda.

Sinegubko has clarified that he will still be responsible for Unmask Parasites and he’ll continue to improve it.

“Even better: now that I’m with Sucuri, I will have access to large volumes of data from their tools and support team (something that I really missed during the last five years), which will definitely facilitate my investigations, and, in turn, improve the quality of Unmask Parasites scanner and Sucuri own tools,” he noted.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
