14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Sucker Punch Productions is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Infamous: Second Son with a neat giveaway.
The highly acclaimed action-adventure video game marked the debut of the series on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system from Sony, and today, it’s still one of the best games you can grab on the console.
The player-controlled protagonist makes use of various super powers that can be utilized in order to navigate the city and in combat against the forces of an oppressive regime.
Players can make moral choices that shape the development of their character as they progress through the game, and enjoy a wide variety of optional content in the game’s open world.
The game was a pretty big success, with millions of players worldwide stepping into the shoes of Delsin Rowe and trying to make the world a better place, and its standalone expansion, Infamous: First Light, was a resounding success as well.
The expansion was part of January’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, and the developers revealed that an astounding 3.5 million users checked it out.
A slew of free goodies
The achievement got the team excited, and so, in order to celebrate the milestone and Infamous: Second Son’s first anniversary, PlayStation fans will be able to get their hands on a bunch of neat goodies.
First of all, in order to allow those who missed out on Infamous: First Light to take control of Fetch and go through the prologue story, the game will be discounted by 50 percent from March 27 through March 30.
Then, everyone will be able to get the Infamous: Second Son downloadable fan kit free of charge, consisting of Infamous: Second Son cover art, Delsin, Reggie, Fetch, Eugene, Hank and Augustine avatars, smartphone wallpapers, and Delsin and Fetch ringtones.
In addition to this, Sony’s PlayStation team is also celebrating the occasion with the release of two PS4 themes, one for Delsin and the other for Fetch, available starting March 31.
