Web content presented as text articles is a reality found on almost every web page you access on the Internet. The articles can be found as news, weblogs, products description, HTML email or in any other possible form.

When you decide to write articles as content for a website, there are certain basic rules to follow in order to ensure a minimal necessary quality of the published web content. The article in ensemble is presented to a given audience that looks for specific information. The title of your article should be clearly formulated in order to reflect the content as accurate as possible.

The introduction should be brief and should include some ideas that will be developed later. Web articles commonly contain 500 - 1000 words, which represent the recommended SEO (search engine optimization) practice. Long articles should be split in chapters on several web pages with an appropriate chapter title specified. The various ideas or themes presented in the article should be separated in paragraphs on page for a higher visitor/reader accessibility. As a replacement for paragraphs, you can use subtitles and bulleted lists.

The text font is also important: Sans Serif and Serif fonts are user-friendly and eye-catching, making the content much easier to read and understand. You can lead your readers to complementary resources by inserting links as anchor text, pointing to other articles relevant for a given theme or subject. Try to compress essential messages in short sentences to increase the content clarity.

Try to insert images that will underline the text content. The magic power of image suggestion will make the reader understand more rapidly / easily the content. You can use up to three web optimized images on a web page, relevant to its content. For example, in a scientific article you can present the conclusions as graph or charts, if the topic allows it.

When you end the article, check the number of words and spelling and make the appropriate modifications if they are needed. These are the main rules in organizing a website article, but depending on the article's nature and destination, there could be other supplementary guidelines specific to a given situation. You should always take into account and identify all possible factors that could influence the quality of your texts, in order to maintain or ensure an audience and the success of your work.
