Subway Surfers, one of the most popular endless running games on mobile phones out there, might become available for Windows Phone handsets with only 512MB of RAM in the near future, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The game is currently available only on handsets that pack at least 1GB of RAM, but that might change soon, a recent tweet coming from Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore appears to suggest.

Earlier today, Belfiore has decided to provide some new info on the company’s plans for the Windows Phone operating system, and he has unveiled that both Facebook and Skype are set to be updated soon.

Moreover, he has mentioned in his tweet that 12MB SS is coming, though no further explanation on the matter has been provided.

However, as WPCentral notes, the SS in said tweet might stand for Subway Surfers, given that it is not available for 512MB handsets, although other popular titles on Windows Phone have already been released on such devices.

Most probably, should this pan out, additional info on the matter will be provided in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned to learn specifics on the matter.

In the meantime, those with devices featuring more RAM inside can download Subway Surfers for Windows Phone from Softpedia today.
