Developer Matt Galloway has just released the Pro version of his free iPhone app, Subnet Calc. The tool is designed to help network administrators who need to keep track of the various subnets they administer.

As you can imagine, Subnet Calc Pro introduces more advanced features, such as the ability to define subnets by selecting an IP and CIDR inside an Organizer, a handy subnet FINDER, the ability to export all your data from the database by email, and more.

According to Matt, Subnet Calc Pro's Organizer lets users define subnets by selecting an IP and CIDR. The app also lets you save the subnets you manage in a hierarchy so that you can keep track of how you have allocated and split up your subnets into smaller subnets. Additionally, the ability to add hosts inside each subnet allows one to keep track of IP allocations. Moreover, Subnet Calc Pro will calculate all details including its class and even whether or not the IP is in the loopback / private ranges, for each defined subnet.

The above-mentioned subnet FINDER aids admins in calculating the smallest subnet that encompasses a given set of IPs in order to figure out a subnet mask that allows some IPs to communicate. Lastly, when all work is done, users can export all their data from the database by email. The Pro version of Subnet Calc also includes the standard subnet calculator, which is the same as the one included with the free version of the software.

Subnet Calc Pro costs $3.99 to buy and is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running Software Update 2.2. To download either version of the app, use the links provided below.
