KPMG LLP, an audit, tax and advisory firm has released its KPMG GO app for iPhone and iPad designed to provide tips and information to help college students nab a job in today's competitive employment environment.

A freely downloadable app, KPMG GO serves up videos, articles, blog entries, Q&As, even branding tips from its partners as well as HR professionals and campus recruiting staff to provide the following:

· Professional advice on how to craft a polished and impactful resume. · Sample interview questions and tips covering topics such as attire, etiquette, and overcoming nerves. · Guidelines on use of social media in a professional landscape, including how to keep your reputation safe and use social media to build your brand.

Informative articles written by recruiters, interns, and KPMG partners are also available through the free application.

Topics include networking through social media, personal branding, professional communication, and career success.

Commenting on the release of their application, Blane Ruschak, KPMG's executive director of university relations and recruiting, said: “Today's students face a very competitive market and need every advantage to make a good impression and secure that first job.”

Simply put, the KPMG GO app shows students how they can brand themselves.

KPMG GO is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 3.2 or later.

A Branding U toolkit on how to "stand out" in establishing and moving one's career along is also available, according to KPMG LLP.
