YouTube makes victims again! This time, 15 students from Lee County High School were arrested by the police after a video displaying all of them fighting in a boys bathroom was published on Google's video service. The 15 students with ages between 14 and 17 were accused for disorder after several movies were published on YouTube, displaying two boys fighting while the other ones were looking and cheering. No one was seriously hurt but some of the students received treatment for minor injuries after they were punched in the face.

"Our bottom line is that this happened on school property and things of that nature are simply not allowed," Principal Greg Batten told The Sanford Herald. "It's not what we want going on in the instructional setting. It's unacceptable behavior."

"We were able to identify a core group pretty quickly, and from that, we started getting more information and were able to identify rest of them," Darla Cole, the school system's chief resource officer said. "These kids did this for publicity, and they broke the rules," Batten said. "So it would be really bad for them to win and get the publicity they wanted," News 14 Charlotte reported.

It seems like YouTube really tends to become one of the main tools used by the police in several investigations. Yesterday, I reported a woman that fights against cancer published a video on the Google's product to require help and provide more information about the treatment. Although the service was soon affected by numerous problems like the Viacom removal, YouTube remains one of the most visited websites on the Internet. As you know, Viacom, the owner of Comedy Central and MTV, demanded YouTube to remove almost 100.000 clips from the page because the search giant receives praises for the content published by other firms without paying for it.
