Jackie Turner is a 26-year-old college student whose Christmas wish is to have a family to spend the holidays with, and she is even willing to pay them for that. In order to rent a mom and dad, the woman placed an ad on Craiglist and received tens of offers, for free.

The heart-broken student placed a touching note online saying that she was searching for a loving family to treat her like their child. After years of abuse in a broken home, Jackie didn't lose hope for a movie-like holiday and decided to make her story public in order to accomplish her dream.

“I am looking to rent a mom and dad who can give me attention and make me feel like the light of their life just for a couple of days because I really need it,” the heart-breaking Craigslist note writes, according to Daily Mail.

Turner's childhood wasn't a happy one, her biological parents have abused her physically and mentally since she was very young. She always wanted to feel the love of a family and offered to pay some willing candidates to play the roles of a mom and dad for a few days.

Having enough of the abuse she was forced to take in her home, Jackie ran to the streets and got dragged into a gang and drug habits until eventually being arrested. After serving her sentence, the girl turned to religion in a camp for troubled teens and turned her life around. She started college and worked hard to have high grades and a place in the soccer school team.

But not even turning her whole life around helped her fill the void left by years of mistreatment and lack of parental figures worth following. Her desperate need for family affection lead her to go public with her pain and decision to rent a family.

People who where touched by her struggle offered to take her in for free, and individuals who went through similar experiences sent her emails in an attempt to share their story and help her cope with the pain. After dozen responses, Jackie is planning on gathering all those souls that went through similar childhood traumas and reached to her, to make sure no one will spend their holidays alone.
