One of the largest online marketplace for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater and other live entertainment events, StubHub has its own application for Windows Phone devices.

With StubHub for Windows Phone fans will be able to buy and sell tickets while on the move through one of the most important ticket marketplace by simply using their Windows Phone devices.

Those who are not familiar with StubHub should know that unlike other online ticket resellers, such as Craigslist and eBay, StubHub takes a 25% commission after the sale occurs: 10% from the buyer and 15% from the seller.

The ticketing application takes advantage of the Windows Phone features, allowing users to smoothly browse through the large StubHub catalog and find out about various events and access them.

In addition, fans can search events based on their preference and location, view and map upcoming events, as well as tag favorite sports teams and bands to follow them throughout the season and on tour.

Windows Phone is backed by an innovative developer ecosystem that is creating a variety of quality apps and games, like StubHub, that take advantage of the phone’s unique features and design,” said Todd Brix, senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace, Microsoft Corp.

Users of the application will be provided with in-depth ticket information prior to buying a ticket, such as where the user’s seats are located.

On the other hand, ticket sellers will have access to their ticket listings, including the ability to view, edit, delete and deactivate single listings.

StubHub also takes advantage of the features offered by various social networking services and allows users to share events they are attending via email, directly on Facebook and Twitter.

The StubHub ticketing application is now available as a free download via Zune and is compatible with all devices running Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system.
