Stronghold 3 Released in the Mac App Store

Virtual Programming has released Stronghold 3, the third installment in the castle-building series, for Mac OS X. Available now in the Mac App Store, this iteration is the single-player (play against the computer only) version, VP said.

Set 10 years after the original story, the game has players building and managing mighty castles with an improved building system that allows unprecedented levels of realism and intricacy, according to the publishers.

Stronghold 3 boasts realistic physics and improved graphics depicting the medieval village life like never before. There are two campaigns – combat and economic – and the dramatic night time sieges promise to add a new dimension to the experience.

Requirements include Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X 10.6.8 or higher, 2 GB RAM, ATI HD 2600, NVidia 8600 or better with minimum 256 VRAM, and around 6 GB HDD space. The game sells for $29.99 / 23.99 EUR.
