Strife is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Rogue Entertainment and published by Velocity, based on the Doom Engine from id Software. Strife added some role-playing game elements and allowed players to talk to other characters in the game's world.

The world is a comprehensive environment, not divided into levels like most other 3D shooters of the time. Instead, the player travels from a central hub-like area in the city between

various levels which will stay the same as when the player left them.

The player can talk to NPCs and some decisions affect the future gameplay. The game also has several paths to follow (for example, at one point the player can kill Macil, the rebel leader, or decide to still trust him), and can result in one of 3 different endings.

CHEATS

Pause game play and enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Codes

Toggle invincibility - omnipotent

All weapons (except Sigal) - boomstix

All keys - jimmy

Gold and stat tokens - donnytrump

Power-up - pumpup(first letter of item)

Toggle full map, scanner, normal - topo

Kill all enemies on level - stonecold

Disable slide - gripper

One Sigal piece - lego

Change music - spin(song number 00-35)

Change location in current level - scoot(location number 0-9)

Level select - rift(level number 00-xx)

No clipping mode - elvis

Display coordinates - gps

Display framerate - dots

Stat increases

You must follow the "B" plot by killing the Oracle before seeing Macil to have the chance to get the following ten stat increases. All stat increases result in 1 Stamina and 1 Accuracy. Each increase raises your Accuracy and Stamina values by 10 (out of a possible 100 total).

Complete Prison Mission: Macil awards tokens

Complete Power Station Mission: Irale and Medic in town awards instants

Complete Sewers: (Macil awards tokens

Complete Training Facility level (optional): Switch at end awards instant

Complete castle mission (kill Programmer): Macil awards tokens

Kill the Bishop: Oracle awards tokens

Kill Macil or the Oracle (Oracle or Macil awards tokens)

Shut down transmitter in mines (optional): Instant

Shut down peasant converter machine: Instant

Kill Loremaster: Instant
