Fans of the BBC televised dance competition Strictly Come Dancing will soon have the chance to wear outfits inspired by the costumes featured on the show, as a new collection will go on sale in High Street stores come next year.

And it gets even better than this, the Daily Mail informs, as the offering will extend beyond clothing items, to offer customers styling products, shoes and even accessories – only if the costumes range fares well.

Since Strictly Come Dancing remains one of the most popular programs on UK television, there’s actually little chance that the line will fail; not when the BBC is also supporting the endeavor through the show’s stylists.

“A collection of outfits inspired by the hit BBC show are set to go on sale on the High Street next year. A range of 15 outfits will be developed by a major retailer in consultation with BBC Worldwide and the show’s costume designers,” the Mail reports.

As noted above, if reception of the first collection is good, related merchandise that could hit the market may include “hair-styling products, shoes and accessories,” the same publication says.

Contacted for comment, BBC’s Richard Halliwell, who oversees the collection, refused to name the retailer that would carry it but he did confirm that talks were underway to get it to the public as soon as possible.

Halliwell did say, though, that the collection would cater customers of all ages and sizes, and not just slim young ones. “We’re a mass-market show, we’ll not be putting out tiny Ola Jordan-inspired catsuits,” Halliwell said.

“A make-up range has already been launched with Boots, which includes nail products, lip gloss and bronzing powder used by Strictly contestants,” the Mail further notes.

Dates for when fans may start seeing the new Strictly Come Dancing products in stores have not been announced, but rest assured you’ll find out about them here when the time comes and an official announcement is made.
