Researchers are developing a technology that can detect how much pressure you're feeling

We've used the words “pressure sensitive” before, but they had to do with touch interfaces and graphics design tablets, not the “pressure” that PC users might be feeling at any one time.

Now, though, there are people working on a way to measure how much stress a PC user is under, or at least minimize the amount of pressure someone is feeling.

A pressure-sensing mat placed beneath a keyboard will detect if someone is working hard on a document or whatnot.

A way to detect when users are intently studying a document is being worked on as well.

Basically, when the technology judges that the PC user is in “working” mode and could do without interruptions, it prevents all those pop-ups, pings and other notifications that background apps might want to flood the screen and/or speakers/headphones with (messenger, social networking, etc.)
