Video game developer and publisher Capcom has revealed the final details for the upcoming Street Fighter x Tekken Version 2013 update for its fighting game, which is designed to introduce a number of major changes to the title and make it better suited to the needs of the fighting game community.

The characters that are tackled in this change log include: Lars, Bryan, Christie, Alisa, Jax-X, Lei and Pacman.

The overall aim with the character-oriented changes has been to make the entire cast competitive, which means, in some cases, extensive changes to the ways that their powers work.

Competitive players will have to take a good look at the change log and then modify their own strategies accordingly.

There are also system-wide changes for Street Fighter x Tekken Version 2013, like the fact that used gems have seen their activation glow reduced in order to make the game easier on the eyes.

Capcom also says that there will be no more opportunities for extra hits after guard cancel moves, Pandora has now been extended from seven to ten seconds and the overall life recovery rate has been cut down to just one third of what it was in the original release.

The full change log can be found on the official Capcom Unity blog and will make for fascinating reading for true fans of the Street Fighter x Tekken concept.

Street Fighter x Tekken was launched in the spring of this year. At the moment, Namco Bandai is working on another game, Tekken x Street Fighter, which will use different mechanics and the same cast of characters and will be offered next year.

Street Fighter x Tekken Version 2013 will be offered for free and will be launched before the end of the year on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC.
