Capcom launched a patch for Street Fighter X Tekken last week, but it seems that the update caused more harm than good, as now, during certain matches, the game crashes instantly. As such, the Japanese company has just confirmed that a new update will be released next month.

Street Fighter X Tekken, despite reaching not so impressive sales, is quite popular among fighting game fans, many of whom fell victim to infinite combo attacks when the game was first launched.

In order to solve the issue, Capcom released a patch last week that was set to eliminate these infinite exploits.

Sadly, it seems that the update caused a much more serious issue, as each time knife-like projectiles from Ibuky, Cody, Rolento, or other fighters, would collide with fireballs from Ryu, Chun Li, or others, the game crashes.

Capcom’s Tomoaki Ayano posted a statement saying that the development team is examining the issue and that a fix should appear by the middle of next month. Until then, be mindful of what players you use in the fighting game.
