Capcom provided us with another look at upcoming brawler Street Fighter V, pitting veterans Daigo and GamerBee against each other in a brutal exhibition match during this year's edition of the Taipei Game Show.

Capcom' Yoshinori Ono took the stage to introduce the upcoming fighting game to a whole new audience, after revealing similar gameplay footage at last year's Capcom Cup and PlayStation Experience events.

The game is currently very early in development, which is the reason we're getting to see Ryu and Chun-Li duking it out again, and the match is even set on the same stage as all the previous reveals.

If this restaurant / street level shows us something, it’s that as long as there are streets, there will be fights set on them.

In any case, the match offered fans a new look at Ryu and Chun-Li's arsenals of moves, covering the new tools they would get and how some of their old tricks would perform.

With each new stance activation, Ryu's fireballs get an extra hit, and Chun-Li is able to throw fireballs in a veritable hail, like in bullet hell games, so it's going to be interesting to see what kind of other overpowered stuff the other fighters will be getting.

Everyone wants it to be both new and the same

The game looks to be even slower than Street Fighter IV, which in turn was slower than Street Fighter III, a detail that turned many gamers off from it. However, the prototype is still a very early build, and a lot of things can change from now up until the game's release.

For the time being, the developer is considering input from the rather large community that the legendary fighting game has garnered over its many years, trying to figure out which returning characters should make it into Street Fighter V, in addition to the series regulars.

Capcom also mentioned that it was considering releasing the game with a smaller roster of playable fighters in order to keep development costs and time down, and to provide newcomers to the game with an easier point of entry.

Street Figher IV, for instance, made its debut with 25 fighters, and over time, it has grown to 44 with the release of Ultra Street Fighter IV.
