A rumor, but still sounds good to me

Ah, the old days of the arcade, the place we went to filled with frustration from school, filled with anger directed at our existences, the place where we could just let ourselves go while throwing around punches and getting hit in the face by someone's foot. It was all fun and games, mainly because it was virtual and no actual teenagers were hurt during the arcade sessions. One of the most well loved devices for letting out Steam during those days was the arcade game Street Fighter.

Now, Street Fighter IV, the fourth installment in the videogame series that followed the arcade, is in development, with Capcom hoping to bring gamers one of those rare gems of a game that manage to capture the essence of having fun at the arcade while also delivering an experience that gamers can enjoy using today's more capable hardware. The big news is that apparently the game is also coming to the PC, alongside developer favorites like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is just a rumor at this point, as one French videogame blog claims it has seen the info on some press release from Capcom that no one else seems to be able to find.

If the rumor is confirmed then it's a nice touch that the developers at Capcom are bringing the game to the PC, seeing how lately all we hear is how the PC is dead when it comes to gaming and how piracy is going to make it even more dead (logical fallacy intended).

The other news within the same rumor is that Capcom has also decided that the game can benefit from the holiday videogame buying frenzy and so it plans to ship its new Street Fighter game sometime before Christmas. I can barely wait for it to arrive and I hope it will manage to capture some of the old magic of the arcade days.
