Stream TV Networks showed off an interesting piece of technology at CES 2014. The company has created a class of grass-free 3D screens that can support 4K resolution.

And according to company representatives who talked to the folks over at Pocket-lint, the technology will soon be implemented into tablets. However, for the time being interested parties can hope to see the tech implemented in TVs.

So far, there’s been no information regarding what the tablet will actually pack inside or which manufacturing partner Stream TV Networks is going to pick up. Apparently, the Ultra-D technology will be licensed out to companies like Toshiba, Huawei, Toshiba or TCL.

The only details we have at the moment concern the TV set, which will apparently sport a 3D display with 2160p resolution. It will also be capable of displaying full 4K with 8 million pixels in 2D.

The signal can come from 3D Blu-ray or Sky 3D and users will be able to enjoy playing 3D games glasses-free. I'll keep you updated when more information becomes available about the tablet.
