Given the fact that streaming HD content to one's iPad is something many owners of the iPad tablet are genuinely interested in, a company called Nuvyyo has released the JetStreamHD, a solution that enables fast and easy wireless streaming, with the help of one's own Wi-Fi network.
The core of the JetStreamHD solution is represented by the JetStreamHD box, a device that attaches to one's home wireless router and acts as some sort of gateway between the content stored onto the network and the iPad.
The JetStreamHD will be a fairly discrete presence around one's wireless router, given the fact that it measures 167.8 mm (6.61 inches) x 57.2 mm (2.25 inches) x 127 mm (5 inches) and weighs around 0.14 kg (0.3 pounds), not to mention the fact that it has a very sleek, attractive design.
Of course, the system also involves the download of a special application onto the
iPad, that will enable users to actually view the respective content, but also takes care of all the required conversion work, users only getting to enjoy their content at the best-possible quality, without having to worry about all of the trouble typically happening when conversion operations are required.
Another interesting detail worth mentioning is the fact that the JetStreamHD solution offers the necessary support for Apple TV, but also for multiple iPads, users being able to stream media towards multiple tablets at the same time.
It's also important to mention that, as far as supported file types are concerned, sky seems to be the limit in the case of the Nuvyyo JetStreamHD, this thing working quite well with just about any type of video file (including MKV or M2TS formats and the most popular codecs around), audio file (including FLAC or MKA files) or photo.
The JetStreamHD for the iPad will sell for around $199 USD, which, to be honest, is not even that high a price, especially taking into account the enhanced level of functionality it's capable of providing.
