The new star at Strategic Test's headquarters is the freshly-announced digitizer/oscillator card codenamed UF2e 3027. This card is the last addition to the Ultra Fast series of cards developed for pro applications requiring the capability to handle immense amounts of data and for controlling multiple other cards simultaneously.

The Strategic Test UF2e 3027 sports capabilities that were looked at as more or less impossible until now. Even though it runs 2 channels[admark=1] only, these channels will operate at maximum and can record signal samples 10 seconds long as the total memory on board can reach 2 GigaSamples. This card sports a dual ADC architecture and the modules run at 100MS/s in a 12-bit resolution ensuring the optimal balance between speed and reliability, precision and versatility.

Well, there are some features that make this card quite unique; first of all, we're dealing with a dual-timebase sampling capable PCI Express card, meaning that two reference sampling algorithms can be used simultaneously. Even more, the Strategic Test UF2e 3027 can administer synchronous digital inputs and asynchronous digital I/O, allowing the user to handle a much wider range of data for a truly comprehensive field of operation. The UF2e 3027 can sync up to 524 channels and by all means this is A LOT!

The 2 channels sport six predefined voltage ranges varying between 200mV to 10V with an offset of 100% fully programmable; the accepted input impedance runs from 50 Ohms to 1MOhm, while full and independent channel manual configuration is of course available. Strategic Test also is supplying programming examples and drivers for Vista, XP64, XP and RedHat, Fedora, Suse and Sarge Linux along with the SBench 5.3 oscilloscope software and SDK for Matlab, LabView, Agilent-VEE, DASYLab and LabWindows/CVI.

According to Strategic Test, the key specs are:

-32 MegaSamples memory --- expandable to 2 GigaSamples -Continuous streaming to host PC > 120 MegaSamples/s -Effective Number of Bits > 10.6 bits -Signal-to-Noise Ratio > 65.5 dB -Total Harmonic Distortion < -72.0 dB -The standard -3dB bandwidth is > 40 MHz although the Wide Bandwidth option can increase this to > 90 MHz.

As for pricing, the announced quotes run around $7,390 with volume/OEM discounts available.
