Strap a ThrustPac to Your Back and Ride Like the Wind

Wind power has been used for generations as the main thrust force in seafaring. However, with the development of technology, wind power has taken to the land as well, and sometimes in a manner that could be best described as...well, crazy. That's because the device you're about to see - namely the ThrustPac - is a crazy contraption which attaches to the user's back and then propels him/her with up to 56 Kph (kilometers per hour).

This device, aimed mostly at thrill-seekers, is actually a gasoline powered wind turbine worn as a backpack and controlled
via a special control glove worn on the hand. Actually, the control system is quite simple, since all the user has to do is bend his/her finger in order to pick up some speed and then relax it to slow down. Moreover, the glove features a special safety feature, a kill switch that shuts down the engine completely, thus preventing any undesired incidents.

The ThrustPac is also quite economical, since it "eats" just around 1.6 liters of gasoline per 100 Km (or, in American terms, 150 miles per gallon). However, the most important advantage offered by this product is its versatility, since the ThrustPac can be mounted with just about any means of transportation, from bicycles to canoes to roller skates, and the manufacturers can also custom build-it in order to fit exactly the user's weight. This "blowing death-wish", as I would call it, can set you back anywhere from $895.00 to $1999.00 for standard models, and is already available on the market for those brave enough to try it out.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
