- “Storytelling is very important to people,” acting isn’t about being a celebrity, says Tom Hardy
We’re not afraid to admit that we’re (almost shameless) fans of Tom Hardy, one of the hottest and most talented actors of the moment. So, yes, we’re happy he has a new movie to promote, because that means more interviews and photospreads with him.
And, if anything, Hardy gives amazing interviews.
The Brit and Noomi Rapace teamed up for a spread in Blag magazine, perhaps the funnest of the lot for them. Check it out in the gallery, as well as the video below.
In the interview, Hardy (who’s promoting “Lawless”) reminds us that acting is about acting and not about being a celebrity. Quite refreshing to hear that.
“I want to dispel that it’s all about celebrity-ism, I’m [expletive]-ing bored of people looking at whose shoes are interesting and what hat is interesting,” he says.
“Storytelling is very important to people, it comforts them, unites us, cheers us up, we can affect change with these arts. We need to be entertained to connect…” Tom goes on to say.
Well, all I know is what I see... pretty much. And what I see is Tom Hardy being pretty much the best actor since who knows when. I'm talking a good 50 years. He has it all really, looks, magnetism, charisma, very real talent that can not be ignored. I am a shameless fan also and I wish him nothing but the best now and beyond.
