Video game developer Eutechnyx and Games Workshop announce that they are working on Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance, a new lane strategy title that will be launched on the PC and mobile devices in the first quarter of 2014.

The game is designed to take players to Pisceina IV, a planet that sits at the center of a conflict between the Empire of Man and a powerful Orc force.

Gamers will be able to choose between Grand Master Belial and Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka as they command forces to defend or capture the planet using a variety of units and tools.

The Dark Angel Space Marine chapter will be able to use just 100 members for the war effort, while the Orks can deploy teleporter tech.

Jon Gillard, the head of licensing at Games Workshop, states, “The game they’re creating based on this iconic conflict from the Warhammer 40,000 mythos is another great example of talented developers applying their passion for the IP in a compelling and imaginative game design.”
