Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced the availability of the final flavor of its 3.26 Store client for Series 40 touch-and-type.

The mobile application was made available in beta not too long ago, so that users would have a taste of it beforehand. In fact, the enhancements included in the gold version are based on the feedback received from users.

Today, however, Nokia announced via a blog post on Nokia Beta Labs that it managed to make the necessary improvements to the client to release it in a final version.

The roll-out should begin in the not too distant future for all supported S40 devices, minus those who have the beta version installed on them.

“The official release of the 3.26 Store client for S40 devices will be going live very soon, and will be rolled out to all users of eligible devices,” the aforementioned blog post reads.

“However, if you have previously installed the preview of 3.26 (version 3.26.0.45) to your S40 touch-and-type device, you will need to update your client manually via the Beta Labs trial page.”

The new app release arrives as version 3.26.1.53 and packs inside a variety of bug fixes and improvements when compared to what the 3.26.0.45 iteration included (this was the app flavor submitted for public beta testing).

The new 3.26.1.53 version is expected to facilitate update for all users, and features the same capabilities as the official build, 3.26.0.52 (only those who have the 3.26.0.45 preview app installed will need to download the new 3.26.1.53 flavor).

Only owners of for S40 touch-and-type devices can download and install the new version of the mobile application (handsets such as Nokia Asha 300, Nokia Asha 303, Nokia C2-02, Nokia C2-03, Nokia C2-06, Nokia C3-01, Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition, and Nokia X3-02).
